Sanders puts to rest doubts with Ironman test session

After a disappointing IRONMAN Mont-Tremblant in August, Lionel Sanders wanted to put his mind at ease. So, he did an Ironman test session shortly after Mont-Tremblant. Thanks to his YouTube and social media accounts, Sanders has given his fans unprecedented access into his training and thoughts. In the above video, he completed a 3.8K open water swim, followed by a 180K bike around the Windsor Ford test track. Next was a 25K run with beer mile world record holder, Corey Bellemore.

The test wasn’t just about training, it was about making sure his nutrition plan was “on point.”

Now less than a month out from the big race on October 13th, Sanders is in Kona doing his final preparations. You can watch the Amazon IRONMAN World Championship live on the IRONMANnow Facebook account.
