Week two of great triathlon Instagram accounts to follow

Melanie McQuaid (@racergirlmel)

Melanie McQuaid is no stranger to the top of the podium and is one of Canada’s greatest on-road and off-road triathletes. She recently won the 2015 Challenge St. Anderews half distance race and has achieved many top finishes at XTERRA events in recent years. A lover of bikes, travelling and nutritious food, her Instagram account is filled with pictures taken while out training on her bike and mouth-watering shots of beautiful veggies she grows herself.

This Swiss superstar is a likely contender to become the next “queen of Kona” and with her recent victory at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships she’s an athlete many are talking about. On her Instagram account you’ll find snapshots into her life as a top triathlete and lots of pictures of her out training on her Felt IA bike. Living and training in the heart of Europe means her regular scenery on rides is breathtakingly beautiful.

Kyle Jones (@joneskyle)

Kyle Jones has been a member of the Canadian National Triathlon Team for almost a decade and has enjoyed a great career as a professional short course triathlete with several podium finishes and his Olympic debut in London 2012. He’s been busy working to make it back to the Olympics at Rio next year and we’re excited to follow his journey. Besides being an Olympian and pro athlete, he’s a husband and father to an adorable baby boy who makes regular appearances on his Instagram account.

Javier Gomez Noya (@jgomeznoya)

Spain’s Javier Gomez Noya is a six time world champion and one of Instagram’s most followed triathletes. He has enjoyed success in ITU, Ironman 70.3 and XTERRA events and his Instagram account features his travels around the world to stunning destinations as he trains and races. He also shares insight into his experiences at races in the captions of pictures. If you need some inspiration, check out his training videos like this one.

Siri Lindley (@sirilindley)

She’s a former world champion and a esteemed triathlon coach to athletes like Canada’s Paula Findlay and Ironman world champion Mirinda Carfrae. Siri Lindley posts regularly on Instagram so if you love to know what top triathletes do in their day-to-day training, hers is a great account to follow. She trains her #TeamSirius athletes in Boulder, Colorado and besides posting training pics and videos she loves to share inspirational quotes and shots of her beloved dog “Coach Calvin”.
