Canadian age group success at 70.3 Mont-Tremblant

This past weekend our Canadian professional triathletes had success at the Ironman 70.3 event in Mont-Tremblant, Qc. Among the big names and professional results, our Canadian age group results cannot be overlooked. Here are some of the top results from Canadian age groupers this past weekend at Mont-Tremblant.

This past weekend our Canadian professional triathletes had success at the Ironman 70.3 event in Mont-Tremblant, Qc. Among the big names and professional results, our Canadian age group results cannot be overlooked. Here are some of the top results from Canadian age groupers this past weekend at Mont-Tremblant.

In the para-triathlete division, it was Anne-Sophie Brunnetta that won the race in a time of 5:54:03. This result is huge for Brunnetta, and comes with a lot of emotions. Read more about Brunnetta’s thoughts before the race, in La Presse article Without limits.

18-24 Age Group: Canadians Francoeur, Kiltz and Jackson sweep the women’s podium. While Chabot, Belhumeur and Roy sweep the men’s podium.

25-29 Age Group: Canadians Quick, Sanche and Cyr sweep the women’s podium. With Renaud, Blais and Fradette taking the men’s podium.

30-34 Age Group: Canadians Murphy and Tessier occupied the first two positions in the women’s field. While the men’s podium had Canadians Robert and Moraine also take the first two spots.

35-39 Age Group: Canadians Goetz and Hammond occupied second and third place in the women’s field. While Cosman and Roy also took second and third.

40-44 Age Group: The race was swept by Canadian women, Gervais, Jacquemont and Longchamp. While Canadian men went one and three in the men’s, Boule and Morin.

45-49 Age Group: Christine Fletcher won the women’s race, and Martin Lamontagne-Lacasse won the men’s.

50-54 Age Group: Sanderson, Leduc and Marcoux sweep the women’s podium. And Davis, Laroche and Billette went one, two, three in the men’s race.

55-59 Age Group: Kader and Piel went one, three in the women’s race. While Contant, Belhumeur, O’Keeffe went 0ne, two, three in the men’s field.

60-64 Age Group: Hardwick, Ayoub and Ross dominated the women’s field. With Huyer, Brazeau and Parisien topping the men’s field.

65-69 Age Group: Wedlake, Vallieres and Tremblay took the women’s race. In the men’s race, it was Ireland, Skeene and Levesques.

70-75 Age Group: In the women’s race it was Kathy Coffey that took the win, while also being the lone finisher in a time of  7:49:22. And Mac Hickox cam third in the men’s race in a time of 6:26:14.
