Which Ironman races in North America are sold out in 2021?

We reported last year that full-distance Ironman events in Canada and the US had all filled for 2021. That was no-doubt in part due to Ironman’s race deferral policy, which meant that many athletes were entered in the 2021 event after the races were “postponed” in 2020. (Ironman has avoided using the world “cancelled” to describe race status here in North America.

That leaves just Ironman Cozumel as the only full-distance Ironman event still accepting regular race entries, while a few, including both Canadian fulls and Arizona, have a few Ironman Foundation slots available. (There are two different types of Ironman Foundation entries – community – a flat fee and approximately 50 per cent of the entry is a tax-deductible donation, or athletes can fundraise for Team IMF.)

Things are a bit different on the half-distance front – of the 36 events in North America, 22 are still have registration available (either general entries or Ironman Foundation slots), 12 are sold out or closed, three have yet to open registration and a few have Ironman Foundation entries available.
