Check out pro triathlete and TMC contributor Daniel Clarke’s preview of the Chemin Duplessis descent ahead of Sunday’s Ironman Mont-Tremblant. This descent is the most prominent part of the bike course and requires special attention as it can be dangerous, especially in wet conditions like last year.
Clarke adds some notes about the descent:
“Two safety things I’ll mention about the descent. Do not cross the centre line, it doesn’t matter if someone is blocking you from going by. And do not pass on the right. You’re not allowed to do either of these things anywhere, but on a descent it’s more than just a rule, it’s a big safety concern.”
