Two podiums in two weeks for Guelph Triathlon Project member
John Rasmussen takes third one week after winning on the continental cup circuit in the Caribbean.

Canadian ITU athlete John Rasmussen earned his second podium in as many weeks at the ITU Habana CAMTRI cup in Cuba this weekend with a third place finish in the Olympic distance event. Rasmussen, who also raced with a large contingent of fellow Canadians at the Barbados Sprint CAMTRI event last weekend and won the race, is a member of the fairly new Guelph Triathlon Project squad in southern Ontario training under coach Craig Taylor, an independent group formed out of the former Triathlon Canada Regional Training Centre.

Rasmussen was the sole Canadian racing the Havana event. His time of 1:50:40 put him about 15 seconds back from the winner.
The GTP has been seeing some strong results so far in 2018 from several of its members including Dominika Jamnicky, who heads to the Commonwealth Games in April. Several of the squad members will race upcoming continental and World Cup races.
