Three Canadian athletes landed in the top five at a very competitive Ironman 70.3 Los Cabos on Sunday. Angela Naeth had the top finish with second behind Jeanni Seymour, while Rachel McBride narrowly missed the podium for fourth. On the men’s side, Jackson Laundry finished fifth.

For Naeth, who clocked the fastest bike split of the day in 2:19, this was the second second-place finish this fall on her comeback after almost a year of frustrating foot injuries.
“It’s been a blast getting back to racing and on the podium of my first two half Ironmans since surgery,” she told us after her race. “Slowly building and excited for what’s to come. I’m eager as ever and enjoying literally every step of the way.”
Naeth will race the Ironman 70.3 Middle Eastern Championship in Bahrain later this year to cap off her season.
