Race day kicks of 1:30 PM (men) and 3:30 PM (women’s) local time on March 2nd

There’s been lots of buzz on social media as the world’s best short course athletes get ready for the WTS season opener — Abu Dhabi is mere hours away and there’s a stacked line-up of champions and eager up-and-comers looking to make their mark in one of the final races before the Commonwealth Games next month. Here’s what the athletes have been up to in their final stages of prep at the Yas Marina F1 race track where the race is held:
