Billed as an excellent race-cation, the event offers a scenic and challenging course on an island renowned for its pristine beaches. Lombok is an island in West Nusa Tenggara province, Indonesia, which forms part of the chain of the Lesser Sunda Islands. It also shares cultural heritage to its popular neighbouring island to the west, Bali. Lombok offers various flight options from a number of locations.

The race will be based in the village of Mangsit, with a number of race hotels within walking distance of the race site offering both race and extended packages for those looking to enjoy some time on the beach after the race.

The race begins with a one-loop 1.9-km swim in the turquoise waters of the Bali sea at Holiday Resort Lombok. The single-loop 90.1-km bike follows the Lombok coastline and is followed by a two-loop 21.1-km run towards Senggigi along the coast once again, finishing alongside the beach in Holiday Resort Lombok.

The event will even feature a couple concerts – on July 3 Lombok musicians will provide the entertainment, while Indonesian band Saharadja will provide the entertainment on July 4.

Ironman 70.3 Lombok, Indonesia will offer 60 age-group qualifying slots to the 2020 Ironman 70.3 World Championship taking place in Taupõ, New Zealand on November 28-29, 2020.

On top of the individual category, 2020 IRONMAN 70.3 Lombok, Indonesia will offer a relay team option to provide first timers with an opportunity to be part of an IRONMAN 70.3 race.
