Harrow, Ont. honours Lionel Sanders

The community of Harrow, in the town of Essex, Ont. has h0noured Lionel Sanders for his efforts as a world class athlete. Four signs depicting Sanders were unveiled yesterday at the major entrances to the town:

 

Harrow is located in southwestern Ontario and has a population of 3,000. Sanders was raised in Harrow before eventually moving to Windsor, where he currently lives and trains year-round.

After his second place finish at Kona this year, Sanders — arguably the most talked about triathlete in the sport — gained even more attention world-wide. He heads to Ironman Arizona later this month to defend his title validate early for the 2018 Ironman World Championship.
