I’ve always found I do my best training when I focus on improving in 1 sport and maintaining the other 2.  Headed into the 2018 season both Frank and I agreed that running was my biggest opportunity to improve, so I’ve started the year with a run focus.  Though the structure of the week is the same (1 interval, 1 tempo, 1 long run) the workouts are different than what I’ve been doing for the last couple years, and the new stimulus is paying off.  The best way to describe the change is that the workouts are much better paced now compared to my all out efforts of the past.  After being stagnant on the run since 2015 I’m seeing my times coming down.  My run focus will culminate at the Chilly Half Marathon in Burlington on March 4.
