Taylor Forbes takes his second CAMTRI silver in as many races
Top Canadian results from the last CAMTRI and World Cup races of 2018
On Sunday, Nov. 11, Taylor Forbes won silver at the last CAMTRI event of the 2018 season in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. For Forbes, it was his second silver medal in as many weeks.

Over the past month, Forbes has been quietly putting together some top results. In the last three races, he has finished in the top-five each time and now has six top-five placings in 2018.
Forbes finished just four seconds behind William Huffman (USA) and 14 seconds ahead of Lucanio Taccone (ARG).

In the women’s race, Canada’s Alicia Slade and Chelsea Raymond finished in 25th and 26th. The race was won by Elizabeth Bravo (ECU). She she was followed by Romina Biagioli (ARG) and Beatriz Neres (BRA).
Miyazaki ITU World Cup
At the last World Cup event in Miyazaki, Japan, John Rasmussen (CAN) and Emy Legault (CAN) competed against a deep field of talent. On the men’s side, the race was won by Vicente Herandez (ESP) who used his 30-minute 10K to create a gap on the leaders. Eli Hemming (USA) would also distance himself from the rest of the field on the run and went on to finish second. The battle for third was between two Italians, Alessandro Fabian and Delian Stateff. In the end, it would be Stateff who gained an edge late in the run and didn’t look back. Rasmussen finished 54th.
In the women’s race, Summer Cook (USA) and Chelsea Burns (USA) would break away from the pack of leaders early in the run. By the halfway point, Cook would open up a gap and go onto win the last ITU World Cup of the 2018 season. Burns followed in second, and Miriam Casillas Garcia (ESP) outsprinted Jaz Hedgeland (AUS) to finish third. Legault finished 26th.
