Shave time off your bike split with the new Zipp 404 NSW Carbon Clincher

unnamed (6)

Last month, we tested out Zipp’s new 808 NSW wheelset and were impressed. This morning, Zipp announced their second addition to the NSW series — the 404 NSW Carbon Clincher.

unnamed (7)NSW is Zipp’s most advanced technology. Triathletes looking to shave off every second possible during their bike split will find what they’re looking for in this series. Zipp says that the 404 NSW Carbon Clincher delivers better braking performance, exceptional aerodynamic efficiency, and remarkable crosswind stability (reduction of crosswind force by 34%), all on their most popular rim depth of 58 mm. If Kona is your goal for 2016, check out the NSW series.

The 404 NSW Carbon Clincher is speedy wheelset on any bike course, whether you’re climbing hills or setting a PB on flat roads. It uses the same Cognition unnamed (8)hub as the 808s for increased durability and low freehub drag. It also uses the NSW-exclusive Showstopper braking technology to deliver the best modulation and shortest stopping distances, regardless of weather conditions or the length of the descent.

Zipp 404 NSW was born in the wind-tunnel using Computational Fluid Dynamics. As one of Zipp’s most advanced development engineers puts it, “The wind tunnel will never be replaced as the gut check for wheel design.”
