Ironman week kicks off with the Kona Town Fun Run

Race week for the 2023 Ironman World Championship in Kona got underway yesterday with the first of what will be a jam-packed week of events – the Kona Town Fun Run. The 5 km race attracted hundreds of competitors of all ages who ran down Alii Drive. While this year’s championship in Kona is a women’s-only race, there are lots of men in town who will get to participate in some of the pre-race activities.
