The third event in the Ironman Pro Series takes place tomorrow in St. George, Utah, which will once again host the Ironman 70.3 North American Championship. While 70.3 Oceanside champ Canadian Lionel Sanders won’t be in the field, the race features over 90 pros in the hunt for their share of the US$75,000 prize purse.

Free Live coverage of Saturday’s event to be broadcast in U.S. and Canada exclusively on Outside TV and for international audiences across multiple platforms, including proseries.ironman.com, DAZN, and L’Equipe in France

The coverage for the event begins at 6:30 am local time/ 8:30 am EST, with the pro race starting at 6:50 am local/ 8:50 am EST.

Defending champs return

Both the men’s (American Sam Long – pictured winning last year’s race) and women’s (South Africa’s Jeanni Metzler) are back for tomorrow’s race. The woman most likely to challenge Metzler for the top of the podium is Canadian Paula Findlay, but there are a number of women who should be vying for a spot on the podium (if not the win) including Australia’s Ellie Salthouse, Americans Danielle Lewis and Jackie Herring, along with Spain’s Gurutze Frades Larralde.

All three of last year’s men’s podium finishers are back – 2023 runner-up Trevor Foley (USA) and Canadian Jackson Laundry will look to try and top Long at this year’s race. Others to watch in the field include Germany’s Maximillian Sperl and Magnus Manner, Americans Marc Kubrick and Justin Riele, along with Poland’s Robert Wilkowiecki.

Ironman Pro Series

Announced last October, the Ironman Pro Series features 20 races and a US$1.7 million bonus which will be paid out to the top 50 men and women in the standings.

Ironman takes on the PTO with new Pro Series

All told the series features almost US$6 million in prize money.

Leading the series after the first two events (Ironman 70.3 Oceanside and Ironman Texas) are Great Britain’s Fenella Langridge and Germany’s Patrick Lange.
