Ironman racing was on in full force this weekend in Europe. Things kicked off on Saturday with Ironman Lanzarote, one of the oldest Ironman events in the world, which ended up featuring an exciting women’s race that saw the first three women within two minutes of each other at the finish line.

On Sunday athletes competed at Ironman UK, where Great Britain’s Joe Skipper managed to overcome a 14-minute deficit off the bike to take the men’s win, while Katrina Matthews (GBR) took the women’s race.

Also on Sunday there were Ironman 70.3 events in Andorra and at Les Sables d’Olonne-Vendee in France.
