In partnership with Triathlon Canada, Triathlon Ontario is offering a free level 1 Triathlon Official’s course on Friday July 11. The initiative is part of the build up for the Pan Am cup to be hosted by the Toronto Triathlon Festival and Triathlon Canada on Saturday July 12. There will be elite athletes from over 40 countries taking part in the event which is also the test event for the Pan Am games. This is a rare chance to get started on the process of becoming a triathlon official. The entire weekend will offer informative experience at an international race in addition to the course itself.
The free level 1 official’s course hosted by Triathlon Ontario will be at the Westin Harbour Castle (the TTF host hotel) from 1pm-4pm and will be followed by the athlete briefing at 5pm athlete and the official’s briefing at 6pm—both of which will be great to sit in on. On Saturday morning during the Pan Am cup, course attendees will obtain international officiating experience. The deadline to register is July 3.
