Mexico’s Crisanto Grajales held off the fast sprinting American Kevin McDowell to take win the Pan Am Games triathlon on Sunday at Ontario Place. Irving Perez also of Mexico, rounded out the podium.
Canadian Andrew Yorke made a gallant effort in the race, running in second place behind Jason Wilson for much of the first three laps of the four-loop run, but would finish in seventh, while up-and-coming star Tyler Mislawchuk overcame a broken rib (an injury he sustained last weekend) to hang tough for 10th.
