ITU Seeks Nominations for Women’s Committee Award of Excellence

Do you know a woman who has made a difference in the sport? There are certainly no shortage of them in Canada. Help them drive women’s involvement in triathlon even more.

The International Triathlon Union is inviting  nominations for this year’s Women’s Committee Award of Excellence to honour an individual who inspires with her drive, leadership, creativity and commitment to advancing women’s involvement in triathlon.The award will be presented at the Grand Final of the World Triathlon Series in Edmonton (August 26 to September 1). T

Nomination forms are due by  May 31 and the nomination form must be signed by the individual endorsing the nomination.

To be considered, individuals may be:

  • A triathlete (if elite, retired from active competition);
  • An administrative leader;
  • A coach; and/ or
  • A ‘builder’ (including, but not limited to, event organizer, official, communications or marketing specialist).
