Earlier this week we wrote about a couple of new Ironman destination races in Norway and Greece – now we get to tell you about another new event in Poznan, Poland that will take place on Sept. 4, 2022. This is the third Ironman event in Poland, joining Ironman 70.3 Gdynia and Ironman 70.3 Warsaw. Challenge also hosts an event in Poland – Challenge Gdansk. Challenge also hosted an event in Poznan for a couple of years, too, but the last Challenge Poznan race took place in 2016.

The new event will also feature a 5150 race (standard distance – 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike and a 10 km run) with the swim for both races taking place in Lake Kierskie. The swim will be followed by a flat, fast bike course, followed by a run through the city centre of Poznan, where the race finish and village are located.

Ironman 70.3 Poznan will offer 30 qualifying slots for the 2023 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Lahti, Finland.
