A week out from Kona, we take a look at the bike that Craig Alexander rode enroute to victory last year.
Craig “Crowie” Alexander’s record setting win of 8:03:56 at Kona last year was built, in large part, on a much improved bike split. At Specialized 2012 Global Press Launch this summer, Crowie’s race winning machine was proundly on display.
The odds on pre-race favourite, it is anticipated that Alexander will defend his title aboard a very similarly spec’d Specialized Shiv at the 2012 Ironman Hawaii World Championship next week. We take a look at the bike that carried Crowie to his third, and if everything goes right next Saturday, perhaps fourth title.
