SRAM announces pro triathlon roster for 2024

American component company covers its bases with sponsorship picks for 2024

SRAM got its start through triathlon – the first product founder Stan Day envisioned was the Grip Shift which those of us old enough to have ridden a tri bike in the late 80s and early 90s will fondly remember. Things have come a long way since then and the company is involved in all aspects of the cycling world, but today’s announcement of its sponsored athletes highlights its triathlon roots.

SRAM has done a great job of covering the bases – the list includes Olympic favourites (including both defending Olympic gold medalists) along with athletes we’re likely to see competing on the PTO and Ironman tours this year. The two-time reigning Ironman 70.3 world champion Taylor Knibb (who is also off to Paris next summer and is pictured above) is also part of the stacked list.

Here’s a breakdown of who will be working with the company in 2024:

Pro Triathlon Roster

The athletes in this group will all be riding bikes equipped with SRAM components and Zipp wheels.

Olympic favourite Wilde will also be using Time Pedals and the Hammerhead Head Unit.

The athletes in this group will be using SRAM components and riding Trek frames. Presumably they’ll be riding Bontrager wheels or, like Sam Long above, another company’s wheel set.
