New Balance has a new shoe with light cushioning stability

The newly released New Balance 870v5 is a light cushioning stability running shoe. It is lightweight with the men’s shoe weighing 273 grams and the women’s weighing 234 grams. It features a slightly structured Engineered Knit upper that users will find snug, yet quite breathable. The midsole has REVlite cushioning providing a firm yet responsive feel and a stabilizing medial post to assist the pronating shoe users. New Balance provides the option of purchasing both the standard width or the extra wide option. The women’s shoe is available in black while the men’s shoe can be either black or Gunmetal grey.

This shoe is an ideal all-rounder, multi-purpose trainer that can be used to frequently log long miles on. While not intended for shorter, speedy races like a 5k, it is suited for racing longer distances such as a half or full marathon. The comfortable midsole cushioning will be appreciated in the later kilometers of a long race.
