Rouvy and Challenge Roth partner up for unique virtual riding experience

Athletes can now enjoy a virtual tour of the world's biggest long-distance triathlon's bike course

Challenge Roth has long been renowned as one of the world’s most iconic long-distance races. The super-fast course welcomes the world’s largest full-distance race field, while the athletes are cheered on by huge crowds. The end result is a race like no other, a bucket-list event for the world’s most avid triathletes.

While there is already a version of the Challenge Roth course on the Rouvy platform, this year the course will be re-filmed in Omnimode, which will create a “completely new digital experience for users,” the company says. Thanks to the 360-degree view, you’ll be able to “digitally explore the landscape or watch your fellow cyclists.”

Boost your training with Rouvy’s virtual training camp and thousands of real-life routes

“The partnership with Rouvy is a huge benefit for all our athletes who are involved with the race year-round,” says Challenge Roth CEO Felix Walchshofer. “Thanks to ROUVY, athletes now have additional options: everyone can now perfectly prepare for our bike course from home, whether it’s a virtual ride from Greding to Solarer Berg or even the full 180 km.”

Group ride on March 23

This Thursday at 7:30 pm CET (2:30 pm EST) there will be a joint group ride on the Challenge Roth virtual bike course. The 40 km route will take athletes from the famous “hill of pain” in Greding to the iconic Solar Hill, famous for the huge crowds that line the climb.
