Launched in 2017, Rouvy is different to other indoor cycling platforms because of the reality level of the experience – the program isn’t a game, it is a realistic simulation of what you’ll experience riding outside.

The Czech-based company’s program, though, hasn’t been without technical issues. After an extensive nine-month revamp to the app, Rouvy has launched a new user interface that addresses many of the previous issues, and also makes the program much easier to navigate. On top of that, Rouvy will now make personalized route recommendations based on your previous riding choices.

“For the last 9 months, we’ve been polishing the app to make the user’s experience perfect and Rouvy easier to use,” says Marek Matyska, Product Director with Rouvy. “We have been focusing on the core riding experience aspect across the entire Rouvy application, significantly improving the video quality, and now we are ready to open the season with our brand new (UI/UX) dashboard.”

We had a chance to put the new interface through its paces and were impressed with the new dashboard. Set up is a breeze, and exploring routes, workouts and all the content available on the platform is simple and straightforward.

The Rouvy program now uses artificial intelligence to help come up with suggested routes as you start up the application.

“We believe that personalized recommendations of great content is a key feature for an overall better experience during the winter season,” Matyska says. “It is a symbol of how we are pushing the platform forward in all aspects.”

In addition to all the work done on the latest interface, Rouvy is constantly adding to its list of routes – there are over 1,000 real-world videos of famous climbs, scenic routes and race courses.

Matyska is confident that athletes who might have tried Rouvy in the past, but were frustrated with some of the technical issues, will be impressed with the latest update. Based on our experience, so far, we would agree with Matyska’s assessment, but you can judge for yourself by taking the company up on its 14-day free offer. You can find out more at Rouvy.com.
