XTERRA RustMan Epic (Louisiana, USA)
The XTERRA Rustman Epic launches a brand new genre for XTERRA at Lincoln Parish Park in Ruston, Louisiana on Saturday. The Rustman will consist of a 1 mile swim, 35 mile mountain bike and 10.5 mile trail run (The typical XTERRA race is a 0.9 mile swim, 20 mile bike and 6.2 mile run). The race will offer championship points (100 point Scale) to amateur racers competing in the XTERRA America Tour. Athletes doing both races (the Rustman Epic and the XTERRA Gator Terra on Sunday) will vie for the XTERRA Rustman Double Award – the fastest combined times for the 2 Off-Road Triathlons (overall: Male & Female – 3 deep).
