Star Events expands to Brazil
New company to bring events to South and Central America.
Star Events and ONE International Sport Business have officially announced the establishment of Star Events South America, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil. This new company will bring to South and Central America one TriStar triathlon race in a Brazilian destination in the 3rd quarter of 2012 – details to be announced shortly – and other fun-focused high-quality sport events such as GranFondo (cycling) or StarRun (running) in 2013.
“The triathlon series of TriStar is quite different from other triathlons. When I did the two TriStar in Monaco (2010 and 2011), I was surprised by the delivery and attention to the athletes. I really felt very good in performing these events. So it will be a great challenge to bring this event to Brazil and provide the public and athletes with that experience”, says Lucas Di Grassi, Formula 1 driver and ONE International Sport Business Founder and Partner. Mario Moraes is the new Star Events South America General Managing Director.
ONE is a Brazilian agency specialized in marketing, sports and entertainment, with a large and successful trajectory in leading sport projects and networking in Brazil, and is going to develop with Star Events new triathlon and cycling events in an amazing fast-growing sports market which will held in a few years the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games. Lucas Di Grassi, as well as other F1 drivers – Jenson Button, Bruno Senna, Nico Rosberg or Alex Wurz – knows perfectly Star Events’ way of organizing sport events thanks to his participation in TriStar Monaco, where all of them got to meet the fun format of triathlon in the same streets where they normally drive their Formula 1 cars!
