Setting up the XTERRA South Central Championship

Victoria’s Melanie McQuaid looks to add another title to her collection this Sunday May 23^rd at the XTERRA South Central Championship in Waco, Texas. The three-time XTERRA World Champion, and two-time U.S. Pro Series Champion (which this race is a part of) will be joined by Guelph’s Christine Jeffrey – look for her to be first out of the water. Shonny Vanlandingham (USA), who played basketball at East Texas State before becoming the most successful rider in NORBA mountain biking history, will be the woman to beat after having won the first race of the year. Another threat will be Renata Bucher (SUI), a four-time XTERRA European Tour champ who has already won races in Saipan, Guam, and Portugal this season.
