Reed and Marangon win.

On a day beset by a mixed bag of weather conditions (heavy rain, 5 degree chilly air, then to hot and humid), Tim Reed of Lord Howe Island, Australia and Lisa Marangon of Vaucluse, Australia took wins at Ironman 70.3 Canberra.

Reed came from behind and used the top run of 1:16:49 to cross the finish line in 4:00:46, just over four minutes ahead of Melbourne’s Matt Bailey.

Marangon controlled the swim (26:18) and bike (2:24:57) legs to earn a five-minute plus victory (4:24:41) over Michele Wu (4:30:24) of Isaacs, Australia.
