Australia’s Craig Alexander and Switzerland’s Caroline Steffen kicked off their 2010 season in fine style by winning titles at Ironman 70.3 Geelong today. Alexander secured his second title in a row (3:53:15) at the 11 km mark of the run, posting a 1:11:57 half marathon. Steffen rode the best bike split (2:20:38) and then cruised to victory (4:14:32). Last year’s women’s champion, Samantha Warriner, finished fourth.
