Ironman 70.3 Austin Preview

The race goes Sunday October 23rd.

In the aftermath of the Ironman World Championships a few weeks ago, the Ironman machine cranks it up again this weekend in Austin, Texas at Ironman 70.3 Austin.

The men’s race looks like it will be a good one. Germany’s Michael Raelert, a two-time Ironman 70.3 World Champion, returns to racing after nursing an injury, and he will be joined by quite a few other accomplished racers such as Richie Cunningham, Paul Amey, Fraser Cartmell, Massimo Cigana, James Cotter, and Blake Becker.

Ottawa’s Tenille Hoogland will try to add to her Ironman 70.3 Calgary win but will have to contend with Americans Jessica Meyers, Desiree Ficker, and Australia’s Rachael Paxton.
