Canadian Age Group standouts from Ironman Texas

Beverly Watson, 60, from Priddis, Alberta won the women’s 60-64 age group at Ironman Texas. She opened with a 1:22:29 swim, then dominated her category with a 5:46:51 ride, and 4:48:57 run to finish in 12:11:17.

Joel Maley, 30, of Cold Lake, Alberta, finished second among men 30-34. He swam 1:08:51, biked 4:48:36, and ran a category best 3:04:42 to stop the clock at 9:09:00.
