Giant sponsors a new triathlon team

The German based Power Horse featuring Timo Bracht.

Seven-time Ironman Champion Timo Bracht, a Giant-sponsored athlete for the past five years, has joined up with a new triathlon team based in Germany called Power Horse.

The 37-year-old German and his three teammates-Jan Raphael, Horst Reichel, Georg Potrebitsch-will train and compete on new Giant bikes including the Trinity Advanced SL throughout the 2013 season.

The Power Horse Team was unveiled Tuesday in the Canary Islands, where the team was preparing for the upcoming season.

“There is no kind of hierarchy between the four of us,” Bracht said. “Everyone is responsible and can do his own thing. This individuality is an outstanding feature of triathlon and it fits perfectly within our team concept.”

Timo will start his 2013 season on his new red-and-black Trinity Advanced SL this Sunday at the Ironman Los Cabos in Mexico.

You can follow the Power Horse team all season long on the Teams and Riders page of the Giant website.
