A few athletes in Ontario got a chance to take part in a triathlon on the weekend at the Stoney Lake Triathlon near Peterborough.

“The Stoney Lake Tri was a huge success,” race director Dave Dame said. “Peterborough Public Health was on site and gave us a glowing review. We raised $500 for Camp Kawartha.”

Jessey the Elf was first across the line in the sprint event, with Jaqueline MacGregor leading the women.

You can find results here.

The event was capped at 85 participants – “With staff and volunteers that kept us under the 100 person provincial limit,” Dame said. “We decided not to do the second wave as we felt it would press our staff and volunteers for more than it’s worth.”

This weekend Tri Kawartha will host the Kawartha Open Water Swim 1, 2 and 4 km events.
