Zwift Running League launches

A new running series from indoor cycling and running platform Zwift is launching tomorrow that will allow runners of all levels to join a team and race. The Zwift Running League  will be “inclusive of all abilities and ages by racing as teams and in pace group categories.”

The new six-week series follows on from the Zwift Racing League that now includes over 1,800 teams, and the recently announced Duathlon League that had 1,600 participants in its first season.

There will be two formats within the new race series – a Points Race and a Relay. The Points Race will add up the scores from the top three finishers from each four-person team, while the Relay will combine the 2 km times from three runners and one alternate/ manager. Teams will be classified based on running pace categories.

The racing starts tomorrow, April 16 and runs through May 21. Teams can choose from six event times.
