Triathlon Canada opens registration for 2022 Age Group World Championship Events

Registration for Montreal and Abu Dhabi world championships now open

Triathlon Canada has just announced that the remaining spots for 2022 World Championship Events will be filled through a first come, first serve basis through registration that opens on November 15, 2021 at 12 PM PST.

Athletes who had previously qualified for 2020 world championship teams were given priority for the 2022 team spots. According to an email sent out by Triathlon Canada today “Access to remaining spots is on a first come, first serve basis.”

The 2022 World Championship events for next year include:

  • Montreal, Que.: Sprint and Mixed Team Relay. June 22-26, 2022
  • Abu Dhabi, UAE: Standard, Super-Sprint and standard Aquabike. November 2-5, 2022.
  • Multisport World Championship: Sprint and Standard duathlon, Cross tri, Long distance tri and aquabike, aquathlon. Location and date TBD.

A link for the Multisport World Championships will be activated once the location is confirmed.

According to Triathlon Canada “Athletes who are successful in securing a spot will be charged the $190 non-refundable team management fee.” That fee is separate from the race entry fees, insurance fees and team uniform fees.
