Athletes and fans will head to the streets of Pamplona, Spain, for the Spain T100 on May 23rd. This year features a women’s-only professional race, aligned with the new split-gender schedule for the T100 Triathlon World Tour, with both fields coming together later in the season for the World Championship Final in Qatar.

So who will be lining up on May 23rd? Gold Coast champion Taylor Knibb will be chasing another T100 win, and what stands out is the incredible range of racing she’s taken on this season. She opened 2026 with a victory over the 100km distance, followed by a 70.3 win in Oceanside a week later, and then secured a Kona qualifying slot at Ironman Texas.

In a pre-Texas interview, Knibb mentioned she was hoping for a roll-down spot into the WTCS race in Yokohama. That opportunity came through, and she later shared with a laugh that the notification arrived while she was racing in Texas. As a result, she’ll be competing over the Olympic distance in Yokohama the weekend before Spain.

Kate Waugh will also be on the start line in Spain for her first T100 race of the season, following her 2025 world title. She, too, is on the start list for WTCS Yokohama, setting up back-to-back matchups between Waugh and Knibb across two very different race formats.

Another major contender is Julie Derron, who finished second in the 2025 T100 series standings. Derron, Knibb, and Waugh have consistently delivered compelling head-to-head battles, trading wins and keeping fans in suspense.

Adding further depth is Georgia Taylor-Brown. A rookie to the T100 distance in 2025, she finished the season with an impressive runner-up performance behind Waugh at the World Championship Final in Qatar. Spain will offer another opportunity to build on that breakthrough performance and reinforce her status as a top contender over the 100km.

Holly Lawrence will also make her season debut in Spain, while Taylor Spivey will join Knibb and Waugh in taking on the Yokohama-Spain double.
