After a pair of fifth-place finishes at Ironman 70.3 Oceanside and the PTO European Open, Canadian Paula Findlay added another 2023 win to go along with her St. Anthony’s Olympic-distance win last month with a dominant performance at Ironman 70.3 Chattanooga. The women’s-only pro race featured a strong field that included 70.3 North American champ Jeanni Metzler along with top-ranked Americans Danielle Lewis, Sarah True and Skye Moench.

American Grace Alexander led out of the water after the 1.4-mile swim in the Tennessee River, but Findlay was out of the water alongside True about 45 seconds down. From there the race was all Findlay’s as she posted the day’s fastest bike (2:18:24) and the day’s third fastest run (1:21:10) to easily hold off Lewis for the win. Metzler would take third.

More than 3,000 athletes competed in the race with 2,905 finishing. The race featured a pro women’s field only – the men competed last weekend at Ironman 70.3 Panama City Beach.
