It’s no secret that the global pandemic has dramatically changed the event landscape in Canada and around the world. Many of these changes are solidifying into permanent fixtures for the foreseeable future.

In partnership with Triathlon BC, Triathlon Alberta and Triathlon Canada, the National Race Directors Conference, held over the weekend of November 28 and 29, is aimed at tackling these challenges, using market intelligence to deliver safe events and maximize the participant experience.

“Understanding the challenges and hardships associated with the 2020 season, where over 97% of our provincially sanctioned events were canceled, we remain hopeful that the 2021 season will see a modified race calendar return,” said Allan Prazsky, Triathlon BC, Executive Director. “It’s our intent to keep Race Directors from across Canada informed of best practices, allowing for the safest return to sport possible.”

This free conference, open to all event hosts, aims to bring together race organizers from across Canada to share relevant and timely topics as we march to the 2021 start line. Carefully selected topics will be facilitated by senior industry experts, with a promise of actionable learning for all events, regardless of budget or participation rates.
