Matt Hauser Set for Debut T100 In Singapore
First look at the Singapore T100 start list and wait...what?
World Triathlon
Reigning 2025 World Triathlon champion Matt Hauser is answering Hayden Wilde’s call to action to race on the T100 Triathlon World Tour, joining the highly anticipated professional men’s field for the season-opener in Singapore on April 25th.
Last year, the Australian delivered the first-ever perfect WTCS season score, with victories in Yokohama, Hamburg, the French Riviera, and the Grand Final in Wollongong. Wilde, meanwhile, did not record any WTCS podiums in 2025 following his crash and shoulder injury, but he dominated the 2025 T100 Triathlon World Tour, essentially undefeated, and finished second at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.
The key question: how will Hauser’s short-course dominance translate to the 100km distance? It certainly sets up a compelling and highly anticipated matchup.
But it doesn’t stop there. The start list is packed with world-class names who will contend for podium positions, and potentially the win.
Continuing the short-course crossover theme, Gregor Payet and Pierre Le Corre are also set for their 100km debuts. Le Corre has already come close to victory twice this season, finishing second at both Challenge Sir Bani-Yas and Ironman New Zealand.
Mika Noodt returns after finishing second overall in the 2025 T100 Triathlon World Tour, with six T100 podiums to his name, still chasing that first T100 win. Youri Keulen, the 2024 Singapore champion, has already proven his ability to perform in the extreme heat and humidity. And Jonas Schomburg has opened his season in strong form, with a win at Challenge Sir Bani-Yas and a second-place finish at Oceanside, where nine men broke the previous course record.
While Wilde vs. Hauser headlines the story, the men’s T100 season-opener in Singapore is shaping up to be one you won’t want to miss!
