Lionel Sanders to race Ironman 70.3 Indian Wells

This weekend, Sanders will test the changes he has made since the Ironman World Championship, at the 70.3 event in Indian Wells, California

Following a disappointing race at the 2018 Ironman World Championship in October, Lionel Sanders returns to racing at Ironman 70.3 Indian Wells on Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018.

The disappointment of the world championship has left Sanders hungry for more. Since the result, Sanders has begun to build a team around him. In recent Youtube videos, he has mentioned his involvement with numerous “advisors” – working with Gerry Rodrigues at Tower 21, consulting a former coach to help periodize his training, getting a bike fit done by Ivan O’Gorman and signing a new bike sponsor, Canyon USA.
