Five takeaways from Ironman Frankfurt

Ironman Frankfurt is a race that’s packed with emotion, drama and action. The 2019 edition was no different. Here are a few takeaways from the weekend.

I was in Frankfurt for the Ironman European Championship to do marketing for deboer wetsuits. This was my first time experiencing an Ironman in Europe, and both the event as a whole, and the race, had some distinct differences than what I was used to in North America. Frankfurt always has a stacked field, but the race day high of 38*C made for some very interesting racing in both the pro and AG fields. Here are my five takeaways from the race.
