The weekend events include a “WineK” 5 km run on the Friday, an age-group middle-distance race (1.9 km swim, 80 km bike, 16 km run) along with 80 km bike and 16 km run events on the Saturday, and a professional middle distance race on the Sunday.

According to a release from the company:

“This picturesque triathlon will begin with athletes taking on a 1.2-mile swim in the southern portion of Seneca Lake right through the middle of downtown, the largest of the glacial finger lakes in New York State. Water temperatures are expected to  be mild at approximately 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit. A 50-mile bike ride is next with a point-to-point course that includes farmland, lake views and rolling topography. The 10-mile run will utilize the historic Watkins Glen International Speedway allowing participants to cross the line and then experience the Finger Lakes Wine Festival.”
