Anne Haug started her season in style with a big win at Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote in March – now she’s added another title to her 2023 campaign thanks to a dominating performance that saw her win by over 12 minutes.

Haug was part of a chase group of three (along with Margie Santimaria and Megan McDonald) who were chasing swim leader Caroline Pohle. It didn’t take long, though, for Haug to take the lead and she hit T2 with a lead of four minutes over Great Britain’s Ruth Astle.

Once she was out on the run course Haug continued to open up time on the rest of the field, crossing the line in 4:05:38 after a 1:10:59 run split. Dede Diederiks ran her way to second, crossing the line in 4:17:53, while McDonald hung on for third in 4:18:34.  Santimaria and Pohle would take fourth and fifth.
