Video: Daniela Ryf’s journey to the top of the sport

In video by the PTO, four-time Kona champion explains the physical and mental discipline required to be the best

With four Ironman World Championship titles and five Ironman 70.3 World championship wins on her resume (not to mention a U23 world title and a raft of other big wins), there is no doubt that Danieal Ryf is one of the greatest athletes the sport has ever seen. Today the Professional Triathletes Organisation shared a “Greatest of All Time” video on the Swiss star in which she shares her thoughts on what has driven her success.

Earlier this year we learned that Ryf had left coach Brett Sutton and would be coaching herself as she looks to defend her Ironman 70.3 world title in St. George, Utah in September and then go after a fifth Kona title in October. In August she’ll be the top-ranked athlete on Europe’s stacked Collins Cup team at that event in Samorin, Slovakia.
