Daniela Ryf wants to pace you on your next half marathon
Photo by: Photo: Daniel ClarkeThe five-time Ironman World Champion will be toeing the line in Zug at the Wings For Life World Run, alongside anyone who wants her as their pacer. She is leading runners to a 1:54:45 half marathon time at a pace of 5:26min/km at the even on May 4, 2025 in Switzerland.
Runners can join the Angry Bird’s run club for a fully immersive experience. The Daniela Ryf Training Club offers a platform that provides training plans and tips and tricks that Ryf said helped her achieve her winning performances. Athletes can also join her team, the Daniely Ryf Birds. It connects runners who won’t be on the startline in Zug, but who are running virtually on race day. Ryf’s training club is part of her recent partnership with Humango and AI coaching app. The platform uses AI to tailor individual training plans.
“What I’m really impressed about is how it calculates the threshold and adapts the training plan,” Ryf said on Instagram about the AI functionality of the app.
“If you need help with training, I invite you to join my club. You can join my team, the Daniely Ryf Birds, run with me in Zug or at your own pace, or from a different location. I will be happy if you can join my team. There will be some surprises in Zug, and I look forward to running with you for those who can’t.
Runners who can’t make it in person can run with Ryf through the organization’s App Run Events. The virtual runs are a global event in which runners race together in an effort to stay ahead the virtual Catcher Car. Participants across the world start at the same time and run until the Catcher Car catches up to them. There is no finish line. Runners race together to stay ahead of the Virtual Catcher Car. Participants can download the Wings for Life World Run App to join on race day.
The Wings for life world run is a global movement that raises money for spinal cord research. It hosts events for runners and wheelchair athletes. It also hosts App Run Events all over the world including Canada and the United States.
“I encourage everyone to challenge themselves, whether you’re aiming for a half marathon or just joining for fun,” Ryf said on social media. “In the club you will be able to get access to exclusive training sessions, insights and tips and tricks which helped me to achieve my goals.” There is also interactive group messages, exclusive Zwift rides with Ryf, and a peek behind the curtain at the training routines, mental strategies and race preparations that earned her the title of G.O.A.T. in triathlon.
