Magnus Ditlev out of T100 Series to focus on Ironman Pro Series
Setting his sights on the top spot at the world championships

Pro triathlete Magnus Ditlev is taking a scalpel approach to his season this year. Despite a second place finish in the 2024 T100 series, he is focusing only on the Ironman circuit and a big day in Nice, France at the Ironman World Championships in 2025.
Ditlev recently announced he would focus solely on the Ironman’s Pro Series this year. After a second place finish at Ironman World Championships in 2024, and a third place finish in 2023, he is putting all his focus on the top spot in 2025.

“I have decided to narrow my focus and chase my biggest motivation in the sport which is becoming Ironman World Champion,” he shared on Instagram. “For me this means racing only the Ironman Pro Series in 2025.
“This gives me a lot of time, freedom and flexibility to work on some of my weaknesses throughout the year and also the ability to plan the season perfectly around the World Championships. A big one for me is of course the swim where I have been on the back foot in the past two editions of the WCs and my hope is that this approach will give me the best conditions to improve in this area.”
Ditlev’s announcement comes on the heels of a successful season racing the T100 circuit. He took the top prize at the inaugural race in Miami. He followed that up with a new course record at Challenge Roth and a second place finish at the Ironman World Championships in Kona.

His motivation for going all-in on the Ironman Pro Series in 2025 is to direct all his arsenal at the top spot.
“I have decided to narrow my focus and chase my biggest motivation in the sport which is becoming Ironman World Champion.
“I have been on the podium in the past two editions of this race. Third in 2023 and second in 2024. My goal is to continue that upward trajectory and climb the top spot of the podium in 2025!”
Ditliv finished the T100 series in second place last year. His departure opens the door for a riveting battle this season.
