You are invited to the Lifesport Building Ground Breaking
Wednesday July 24 at 10:00 am with special guests in attendance.
Join LifeSport for the ground breaking of the new LifeSport Building on Elk Lake.
Lance Watson and Paul Regensburg moved to Victoria in 2000 to start the new National Triathlon Centre at Pacific Sport. Soon after many local athletes from Victoria and around the country relocated to Victoria to train at the Centre and prepare for triathlon’s introduction into the Olympic Games in Sydney. The energy of the new National Centre helped produce an incredible run of strong international performances including gold medals in the 2000 Olympic Games, 2002 Commonwealth Games and 2003 Pan Am Games. In 2005 Lance and Paul decided to venture out on their own and start LifeSport Coaching and Events.
Since then, the company has become one of the world’s leading coaching organizations with 20 coaches and athletes across 21 different countries. LifeSport has also built one of North America’s leading triathlon series’ – the Subaru Western Triathlon Series. The only problem has been that LifeSport does not have a home, working out of residential offices. Now it is time for that to change! With the acquisition of one of Elk Lake’s only commercial properties, LifeSport has teamed up with award winning builder, Citta Construction, to design a contemporary, west-coast and environmentally friendly building.
The triathlon community has a rich history with Elk Lake. As a common meeting spot for cycling, a great lake for swimming, one of the best 10k run loops in the world and the home of the Saunders Subaru Victoria Triathlon (Saanich’s largest sporting event) this location is an absolute natural for LifeSport Headquarters and LifeSport’s great team of coaches and event organizers.
You are invited to come and celebrate the start of this building on Wednesday July 24.
