XTERRA Team Competition Returns

At regional events.

At the XTERRA regional events, teams of four can vie top spot in the team competition.

Teams designate four amateur athletes from at least three different divisions (all men, all women, co-ed, it doesn’t matter) and you can enter as many 4-person teams as you want. Just submit the names and age groups of your four designated racers prior to the race start to the race director.

Each of the teams four designated racers will be scored on their finishing position in their division based on the following point system: 1st (100), 2nd (90), 3rd (82), 4th (75), 5th (69), 6th (63), 7th (58), 8th (53), 9th (49), 10th (45). In addition, each member will receive an additional point for every finisher in their division. For example, if you finish first in your age group (100 points), and there were 15 finishers your age group, then your total point score now moves up to 115. Add together all four team members’ scores and the squad with the most points wins.

At the upcoming XTERRA West Championship (April 25), we will preview it for you next week, there will be an excellent team battle between MelRad’s Racing Team, Cody Waite’s EPC Squad, Cal Zaryski’s CSR team, and an XTERRA Ambassadors squad.
