Hugo and Rabie win.

The South African pair of Dan Hugo and Mari Rabie won the men’s and women’s titles yesterday at the XTERRA South Africa Championships at the Grabouw Country Club.

Hugo swam 1.5 km (18:47), mountain biked 25 km (1:18:17), and ran 10 km (45:25) for a 7-minute win over countryman Kent Horner. Rabie, who enjoys extreme conditions, used the extreme heat to her advantage and dominated with an 11 minute victory, posting splits of 18:52, 1:37:16, and 51:09.
